School Board Strategic Direction

SMH ASSIST provides a vision for mental health and well-being in schools along with a wide variety of resources. However it is the role of the Mental Health Leader, in consultation with the School Boards Mental

Health Leadership Team, to plan and implement a mental health strategy that best fits the unique needs and organizational conditions of their specific District School Board. In order for the strategy to be successful, it is vital that the Mental Health Lead and their team develop  and  implement  a  strategy  that  works  in their context. The landscape of mental health and well- being in education is still relatively new.
